Black Lives Matter: A Message From The Founder

Black Lives Matter: A Message From The Founder

Solidarity

The first time I really understood the meaning of solidarity was last week at the Black Lives Matter protest.

We use the word and pretend to know what it means. Until you truly experience solidarity, it's only a word... And it feels like this: Your eyes suddenly open to the possibility; of hope, love, compassion, kindness and the understanding of equality for all as a god given right!

Then to actually feel it... No labels: black, white, young, old, men, women - just solidarity. To be joined with your fellow human being, exercising our rights as equals to demand peace for all. Simply put, it was beautiful expression of one common heartbeat!
